THE STORY
We have always felt that the quintessential Guatemalan coffee should have bold rich flavors of brown spice and cocoa, and this lot from the Huehuetenango region delivers. Of the three non-volcanic coffee producing regions, Huehuetenango is the highest and driest. Thanks to favorable weather conditions, Huehuetenango is protected from frost allowing coffee to be produced  up to 2000 meters above sea level with little issues or protective measures. The remoteness of the region means that most producers process there own coffee harvests.
